Illinois Specific Radon Information: Radon Activity Badge Program

The American Lung Association in Illinois (ALAIL) and Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) have partnered to develop a Radon Activity Badge Program for Girl Scouts in Central Illinois. In order to receive a badge the following can be done as a troop or as an individual. The information below is all you will need to complete the program and earn a radon activity badge. Packets for troop leaders can be picked up at the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois Office in Springfield.

Gold Award Project Opportunities

All listed options may be expanded into Gold Award service project OR scouts may contact the American Lung Association in Illinois (ALAIL) to design their own project. It is important to note that the ALAIL must approve all projects prior to starting.

Radon Activity Badge Program Reporting Form

The reporting form will be used by the ALAIL and Girl Scouts to keep record of participation and order patches. Please return to either your organization or the ALAIL once the projects are completed. Download the Reporting Form HERE.
